Funny how the Missouri Pacific stole UP's paint scheme. Any idea why?

UP were taking over MP when these were ordered, hence UP paint.

In the same vein, did Cotton Belt 'borrow' Southern Pacific?

@Gene
Hi there. Cotton Belt was a subsidiary of Souther Pacific. Similar to Illinois Central using Canadian National locomotives. Therefore, Southern Pacific owned Cotton Belt and painted the locomotives in their paint scheme.
