The new part of the BNSF bridge is looking great!. Looks like enough room to double track the BNSF in the future. The UP bridge has an interesting structure on either side, was that a road at one time?

Yes, you are correct. There was once one-way roads on both sides of the Harahan Bridge. The one on the north side (far left) has since been converted to a pedestrian bridge and is a part of the Big River Crossing, a series of biking trails throughout Memphis and West Memphis. It is quite fun to stand on the pedestrian bridge while a westbound is departing as the whole bridge sways and shakes a bit.
