Yes, it was two to three trains daily. I’ll add that to the caption. There was a lot of inbound traffic on these trains as well, such as barley, and coal to the brewery’s power plant.

Do any EMD SDP40s still exist? Or have all of them been scrapped?

John, several SDP40s still survive, most notably the middle unit in this set, No. 6395 went on to become Montana Rail Link No. 290, which still operates today. Sister unit No. 6399 is preserved at the Minnesota Transportation Museum. Also, a couple of the NdeM locomotives went on to be rebuilt into SD22ECOs in 2009 and are in service on Kansas City Southern.

There's one left. It's on a long term lease to the Minnesota Transportation Museum. It's still in BN Whiteface, too!
