Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum's web page lists this as a 45 tonner; "Technical Data General Electric 45-ton side rod 300 horsepower Built August 1941 for GE Riverworks". And the books, General electric Industrial Locomotives 1924-1978 by O. M. Kerr, c2004; The Second diesel Spotter's Guide by Jerry A. Pinkepank, c1973; Critters, Dinkys & Centercabs, by Jay Reed, c2000; all show no 44 tonners having side rod drive trucks. Also, on 44 tonners the cab was elevated above an equipment compartment which had access doors on cab sides below cab floor level: even the low-clearance military version of the 44 tonner had access doors at bottom of cab sides below cab floor level, though the whole thing was sunk a bit through frame level.

Thanks for the info FSWOOD, I will correct the data. The 44 Ton is the only unit available in the drop down and was not familiar with all the various early GE Switchers.
