Nick, we Americans have a long way to go to match the Brits when it comes to preservation in general. We cast critical pieces of our heritage aside without even thinking. Just take the two locomotives that joined our country from coast to coast back in 1869. Both were unceremoniously tossed on the scrap heap more than 100 years ago. Yep, we have a lot to learn from the Brits.

It would seem that railways like this make good production locations for British films and TV. The right of ways have so much detail and interest.
