Although this photo was taken June 7, 2018, it appears that the Coast Starlight as of this date continues to be assigned its ten-car (winter season) consist. Has anyone checked to determine the success of its "Business Class" car (7th car in this consist)? This car between its Superliner dining car and its Superliner Lounge Car in this consist appears to be a Superliner Coach. According to some, this car is the replacement for the Coast Starlight's discontinued "Pacific Parlor Car". It has been assumed that some daytime passengers en route between Los Angeles and Oakland via Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and San Jose and also en route between Klamath Falls and Seattle via Eugene, Portland, and Tacoma would select "Business Class" so that preferred reserved seats and their meals in the dining car would be included in their fares. Has anyone checked to see if this has occurred as expected by Amtrak?
