The bridge in the background is interesting. It is clearly asymmetrical, with many more panels toward the rear of the train from the tallest panel, than toward the front. It does not appear to be a bascule bridge. A bridge built as a swing-span, even if later immobilized, is usually symmetrical. At https://bridgehunter.com/il/cook/lemont-rail/, what appears to be this bridge is reported to be a swing span, reportedly built 1898. So apparently it is a swing span, presumably with a counterweight on the short end. Interesting.
