I love R.E.M too and I even worked with Michael Stipe on a silly little move long ago. I am glad that for whatever reason this treasure of a trestle was saved.

Interesting photo and story. But to clarify, the cover of [i]Murmur[/i] is a bunch of underbrush / weeds, and the trestle photo is on the back, with the song listing superimposed. And then a couple of years later, the R.E.M. song "Driver 8" (from [i]Fables of the Reconstruction[/i]) was set aboard the Southern Crescent.
