Based on earlier test runs, comments and remarks,I gathered the initial revenue run of this new fleet was expected much later in the year. Or is SBB simply still testing the product, but in the ''live revenue service'' theatre ? I suspect this new fleet would be best suited for the IC700-type, StGallen-Geneva Airport,or similar deployment.Which feature did you like best during the revenue trips ?

I liked the seating comfort, the spacious corridors, the brightness, the air conditioning, the pressure upgrading, the sockets at all places. I didn't like the not so smooth running, i. e. the train shakes and sways much more than the predecessor IC2000.

Thanks for your comments. All of the positives are indeed welcome....but most regrettably, the riding quality is perhaps the leading area where its impact might turn off riding guests. I've always been beyond impressed with the IC2000 fleet riding characteristics, it's the ever present condition people are exposed to, and the IC2000 are perfect in that regard. The other areas that you commented on are not bad at all either in the IC2000, quite pleasant and practical. Looks like the Bombardier product will fare poorly in that comparison....and that's bad....but not surprising, given their record with similar fleet products. Are the Dostos still ''under trial runs'' ?

In the moment, there is just one IR200 running for a return journey Zürich-Bern-Zürich from Mo to Fr.
