Great photo composition. Ah, to make the shops into some sort of housing and keep these elegant structures instead of removing them. Compare their aesthetics to the power plant in the background...! Is that power plant still there? I like the elevated tracks - they almost look like wood trestle-style construction.

Power plant is still there but either is, or will soon be out of service as I recall. Primary purpose was to serve the mines. A conveyor to the lake boats was built to replace the coaling trestle.

Greg, Thanks for the information. The roundhouse was probably quite contaminated and unit for refurbishing into residences or businesses, assuming there was even a market for that there.
