Makes an appealing scene. Am looking at map trying to deduce whether watercourse in photo was ever intended for canal traffic, another interest, or solely to route water for hydro power generation for industries at the location.

Tge Thur is not navigable for modern ships. There was some trafic in medival times. In Switzerland few canals were built, but the Lakes were and still are used for goods transport. Felix
