It seems they are buying new equipment all the time. Here in the states they can't keep together what they got.

Is there an ETA for entering full scheduled service ? I presume this will be before the annual December 10th yearly schedules turn.

No, so far there is no date when trains will be put into scheduled service.

@Claude More Passengers every year, so its growing. Here is an interesting comparison of SBB and Amtrak. SBB operates about 45% of the Rail Network in Switzerland. https://www.amcham.ch/events/content/downloads08/150408_ZH_sbb_andreas_meyer.pdf

Mr.TRub & Mr.Brun. Thanks for comments. After 24 visits in Switzerland since 1992, all of them spent travelling on all Swiss railway networks, full days, my respect and admiration for how the Swiss run a railway is boundless. It is almost addictive for folks living in NorthAmerica ,having tasted the Swiss way, to simply come back for more...and more....armed with the ubiquitous EurailPass...and fill every single day with anything from an RE to ICN to IR to EC....and everything in between.I've witnessed the ''birth '' of the current IC2000 double-decker fleet, am still amazed on how they fulfill their duty....and now can't wait to see their successor. the FV Dosto, at work while sitting in one of the cars, StGallen-Geneve Aeroprt....
