Nice light and perspective, still snow in June but this is in the mountains. Tried to trace the rail line back thinking it could be containers from Narvik but guessing might be from Bodø. Just thought of Narvik because I remember the WWII battle which was a little interesting sidelight. You really get around. Was in Norway but thinking only as far as Trondheim.

Hello Robert, in WW2 the Germans wanted to elongate Norlandbane to Narvik. Some earthworks were done, but the works were never completed. The Germans reached Mo i Rana and made much work on Saltfjellet, using Yugoslav and Russian prisoners of war as forced labourers. After the war the Norvegians completed the works on Nordlandbane, reaching Bodø in 1960. Works for the the railroad from Fauske to Narvik were not picked up after the war. Some earthworks, including some tunnels, were used for building the E6 highway.
