This slipped through with the wrong caption - should read:
The first of many old LIRR commuter cars are seen here being loaded onto flatbeds on their way to Frontier Industries scrap yard. In the foreground, an M3 electric car awaits its turn while a crane lifts a much older P72 diesel hauled coach off its trucks. The work crew pushed their line of flatbed cars under each cars shell as the cranes held them in the air. These cars were heavily parted out by the LIRR & preservation groups.

Joseph, you can edit the caption and date by going to the members tab, clicking "photo management" and then entering the photo id number, 638447 in this case. Nice shot btw!
