The A&WP also contributed to The Crescent consist operating it south of Atlanta to Montgomery where the L&N took over. The Southern's "Royal" Obs were converted to 12 double bedroom sleepers and survived up until the end of the Southern Crescent. They give little hint today that they were once regal boat-tails.
