This captures some favorite railroad elements: the empty loneliness of track side, grit, dirt, and smoke. And earth shaking power. You can almost hear the roar as she gets near.

This photo goes to show that you don't always require good light on the nose of an engine for a photo to come out decent looking. Backlit, underexposed, all go out the window here. It's all about the elements that add the depth and feel, and you mastered that here, Marty. Simply amazing!
