Since BN power was common run-through power in Erie Lackawanna days, these big beasts probably felt right at home when NYSW bought them and pressed them into stack train service on the former EL "Southern Tier" Conrail line (courtesy of D&H trackage rights west of Binghamton, and NYSW "haulage" rights east of Binghamton).
