I've always expressed the opinion to fellow railfans that they should never take anything for granted. In the northeast, 25 years ago railfans would whine about "nothing but Conrail power," and "ooh and ahh" over CSX or NS power. Now they "ooh and ahh" if they see Conrail power. Grass is always greener...

I grew up near Tuscola, loved visiting TY tower, the original track layout always fascinated me as must as watching trains and talking to Bob. Thanks for bringing back a few memories.

I grew up in Tuscola and I can remember going down by the diamonds and visiting good ol Bob and watching the IC UP and CSX go through town......I remember when IC got the new SD70's and when they went by I can still smell the paint on the new locomotives.....Those were the days
