This is a great photo of the Colorado Eagle, but the 1968 date is off by a few years. The train was to be discontinued in early April 1965, but actually made its last run several days earlier due to a BLF&E strike. Diner, sleeper and dome service on the Colorado Eagle ended in early 1964, and this photo seems to have been after that time.

Believe the spotting feature for Texas & Pacific E units was the lack of an eagle on the nose - the MP units had them and as they were made from metal sheet , they survived the dip in Jenks Blue.

That, and the "T&P" stenciled next to the buzzsaw.
