VT 21 is definitely the most unique of the 9 survivors. In addition to being primarily assigned as the switcher in the Virginia City yards, this engine was also the "Fire Engine." That odd contraption between the sand and steam domes is a powerful water pump for fighting fires. I wish she were displayed more prominently. The last time I was at CSRM in 2012, this shed was all locked up. Hopefully, I will at least get to see her this way when I return in a few weeks. Thanks for posting!

Fascinating! What a unique V&T survivor, a 2-4-0, no less. Glad to see she's brought out sporadically for better viewing.
