I have really liked seeing photos of this locomotive and identically painted sister unit #4000. I hope that NS will offer this paint scheme on more units with just the one remaining.

Notice how 4001, a GE, was ripped to shreds, yet the ACe, an EMD, was only a little bent and had scratches. That shows how much thicker the steel is on EMD engines rather than GE. I have a friend who worked on a few railroads who agrees on that. When they hit vehicles with GE's, the plow would bend and all that. But if they hit vehicles with EMD's, maybe a handrail or two was bent. GE steel is much weaker than EMD, so it sucks for the crew to operate them in accidents and derailments.
