Posted by Tom Nelligan on March 17, 2017  I'm afraid that none of the MBTA's F40s have gone to museums or otherwise been earmarked for preservation and the 1000 has been out of service for several years. I believe it is among a batch that have been stored for possible future needs, but given its age (38+) I think it's a long shot that it will ever run again.
