Beautiful photo Emily - lovely Fall scene. Interesting sculpture / fountain of a Whale Fluke (Tail) in the plaza too. Thank you for the brief information about Henry Hobson Richardson too. Sad to read he never saw the completion of this station - though I'm sure he knew what it would look like in his vision when he designed it. As for the link to read more about Mr. Richardson, I'm afraid it's not connecting and I got an error message.

This beautiful sculpture is ironic in that it also commemorates New London's 19th Century history as a major whaling port.
