This is a very neat capture Bill. I suspect they moved the units here for safekeeping as major rains that hit our area on June 19-20, 2012 caused massive flooding and likely caused CTRR to move the units off Dunlap Island (location of their engine house) so they wouldn't be stranded if the St. Louis River washed out their bridge and/or approach, or even threatened the engine facility itself.

Thanks for the added info Dave. We happened to be on vacation in the area and it was amazing how soggy things were at the time. I recall some BNSF ballast trains shuttling around at nearby Carlton as well.
