Caution definitely required if that was a live third rail!

For some reason I feel as if I knew that the yard was dark and those rails weren't energized. I can't honestly tell you why I think that now, but I feel quite certain I knew it then. As I recall you walked from the platform and there was quite a wide space there so you were never near the third rail. But then again, would I do it today? Not on your life.

Pretty sure it was live, otherwise it would have been what we call "ripped out."
