"Perfect" train, but I have problems with the 2001 date, especially as the power appears to be a grey & red SP cab unit.

Surely this photo must have been taken before 2001? The Starlight has had a Superliner consist for over 20 years now.

A matched heritage single-level consist in Amtrak Ph. 1 in 2001? I doubt it. This must have been about 1975.

Wow, a perfect Amtrak passenger consist in 1973? That probably wasn't a very common sight. These cars look so much classier than those boring Amfleets and Horizons. If only they went with this style instead.

Interesting observation, looks like a CZ obs with no dome. Could this be an SP or Burlington obs ?

Looks like the LIRR "Dashing Commuter", far from home and dashing off to the right, briefcase in hand.
