For the record, that is a rebuilt SD40 (ex-NREX 3006, ex-MP 3006, née-MP 706), rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen into what they called an SD40M-2. M-K SD40M-2s could be former SD40s, SD45s and even SDP45s, as all the rebuilding was internal, not external. (SP never owned any EMD SD40-2s, only SD40T-2s, which are significantly different visually.)
