Maybe the Impala is now a low rider somewhere. If I had the Impala I would name it Vlad. Get it? Vlad the Impala.

I disagree with your comment about SP's dirty Locomotives. I grew up in Sacramento in the 50's thru the 70's and " Fanned " SP over Donner and some of the San Joaquin valley from Modesto to Mt Shasta and their Power was almost ALWAYS filthy and run down mechanically. Toured thru the Sacramento and Roseville shops during an era when all it took was asking , and all those I talked to said the SP ran their locomotives into the ground and only gave them attention when something broke !
