Curious myself as to an answer to Emily's question, Alex states this is a single exposure made possible by a lot of luck, timing and, of course, skill: The train was stopped, the surrounding area pitch dark, other than a quick flash of light from the headlights of a car. What's that saying? "The more I railfan, the luckier I get". Or, better yet, "The right photographer at the right place". Sweet shot, Alex!
