My wife and I spent 3 days earlier this month at Strasburg Railroad and the Pa Railroad Museum that's located a short walk away. We enjoyed the time spent at both places. The museum is a must for all to see. The Strasburg RR maintenance facility is a talented little operation. It's great to see a facility dedicated to restoration & maintenance of locomotives and rail cars. Be sure to see it. We both were disappointed in the train ride. They haul you 4.5 miles down the track, move the locomotive to the rear of the consist & haul you back. A 9 mile ride lasting 45 minutes.

If you want a 10 mile round trip to last more than 45 minutes you'll have to ask the crew to go about 5 mph both ways.
