No wonder Amtrak is power short - they've resorted to running P42s on an electric railroad!

Amtrak never thinks ahead. Other countries like Europe and especially Switzerland save something and fix it up for future runs. I think keeping at least one AEM-7 would be sweet to run as special excursions - say in ten years.
