Nice catch, the ATSF had some interesting versions of the warbonnet paint job that you don't see that often.

@Sid Vaught - Sid, I could be totally mistaken, but I believe those appear to be empty, old fashioned automobile carriers before they started enclosing them. Charles Stookey - Great photo and impressive digital restoration work! A bit of constructive suggestion from me might say you lightened up the shaded side of #333 just a tad too aggressively, but it still looks fantastic! Thank you for sharing!

If not mistaken, the "Yellow Bonnets" were Santa Fe's response to Amtrak-- they did not want their iconic Red War-Bonnet locomotives pulling the then inferior Amtrak consists. It was a matter of ATSF pride.
