Nice one, J.A. Wild to see big power running NS to Charleston. When I lived there in late 1970s, it was all small/medium B-Bs, with GP38s accounting for about 95% of units. Was unusual to see even GP35/30s or U23Bs.

Interesting! That was well before my time haha (born in 88). Fast forward to the current day and age, basically everything going to Charleston has a D9W leading. So this was very much something out of the ordinary. Also worth noting, this unit was still in Southern Pacific decals in early 2016. Just a few months earlier and we would have had a real winner!
