Thanks for this photo. The passengers on this train are embarking on one of Amtrak's most scenic rides. The route continues along the Hudson River, crosses it, later crosses the Mohawk River and then turns north where eventually 'The Adirondack' will travel along the western shore of Lake Champlain towards Montreal. The route is a beauty to behold in any season. This shot is a reminder that even 'urban' railroading can be spectacularly beautiful.
