I do have to wonder, how much of a difference did that new GE safety cab make in the outcome of the crew? Glad to hear they walked away.

A standard cab on a locomotive is about a quarter of an inch steel, but the new GE safety cab are made of an inch to an inch and a half of steel so on impact the out part of the cab will suffer damage but the interview will still be in shape to protect the crew, from what I was told!
