Seeing that I am a mere 1600 miles away from Great Falls, and it's Monday morning and I need to get the week started, I have elected to visit this location on Google instead of jumping in the car and heading up there. Looks like there are a couple of other interesting things there. Old roundhouse that is gone, but the turntable is still there. In September of 2011 there was a Jordan Spreader parked there with the front of it painted with a big menacing face. Also, on the side of the engine house is painted "Great Northern Railroad". Looks to be maintained that way. Maybe this place is far enough away from Nebraska and Ft. Worth that they can get away with it, but it would make some interesting pic. I guess instead of "Heritage" locomotives, BNSF has decided on "Heritage" engine houses??
