Sweet shot, Bob! Freight on the NEC - pretty wild! Something to keep railfans occupied between those long waits between passenger trains (or vice versa)!

Thank you, Mitch. Looking through my notes from a Saturday at Aberdeen in August 1977- we saw 41 trains between 12:00 noon and 7:45 p.m.; 8 were Conrail freights. That averages to about one freight per hour, although they did run in bunches- 3 southbound freights in one hour from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
