@FSWood agreed. The building seems to be in pretty good condition, and if anyone was interested it could definitely be restored to something nice. I've definitely seen old depots in a lot worse condition restored!

I was here about 35-40 years ago and the station didn't look a bit different then. All that ornate trim around the edges of the roof is actually very ornate ceramic / mosaic "tiles." Use of such ceramics is VERY unusual for New England stations, though it would have seemed right at home on the Santa Fe. For some reason the Boston & Maine spent a great deal of money on their portion of this structure, despite the fact that it was not on a main passenger route. As I recall, the ground floor level used by the New Haven appeared to be much plainer. This building DESERVES to be preserved, somehow, despite the fact that its location makes it unlikely to ever see passenger service again.
