Riding the dome - with a view not only to the left and right, but directly over the engineer's shoulders! Such a shame not one survived the scrapper's torch. I mean - it only held, and continues to this date to hold the North American high speed record for a trainset built and used in public service (170.8 mph, set way back in 1967). Look at all those gauges in the center of the photograph. No doubt that it was built by an aircraft builder.
