Puts the proper contour back onto the rail head. Can do the sides too if needed. Mainly just starts fires from all the sparks ! This is a small one, typically they are a dozen cars or so.

This one, like all the RGS machines, is a specialty grinder. It primarily grinds switches, crossings, hot box detectors, and other special areas on the tracks.
