Great shot. So is it a detour? Details?

Wonderful catch Mr. Steve Zachowski - were you aware of this detour or was this a lucky catch? I'm sure the Orchard workers were surprised - as I'm sure the crew was cringing at the height clearance for those stacks under that small bridge they just passed under. For being a regional line this train was detouring over - was there a restricted speed even though it is a hot and very important train?

Thanks Dana! Yes, I was aware of this train running and had been following them for some time at this point. These detours are typically well tracked especially when they make daylight runs like this one. The line itself is also used by the NYS&W (the railroad which hosted this detour) however the line is leased to the M&NJ by NS. So in essence it's a CSX detour running via the NYS&W on M&NJ trackage. The commonly documented SU-99 regularly runs over this stretch of track. Hope this helps!
