Due to a fatality involving a man crossing through a train that was stopped at the depot trading out crews all eastbounds that recrew in Fremont stop east of town at Hills Farm road with a contract van shuttling crews back and forth. With the new double track portion on the Blair sub (former CNW main) some eastbounds will take a left turn at CPB366 and trade out by the power plant if the dispatcher has a light Westbound lineup. Westbounds trade out at CPB366 next to the yard. Given the time of day this may have been the daily North Platte-Council Bluffs freight (MNPCB) which is manned by long pool crews out of the bluffs. Most of the intermodal trains trade out in MoValley with long pool crews. This sub is now called the Omaha sub. West of Fremont to Grand Island is the Columbus sub. Straight behind where you took this photo is where CPB039 Omaha sub connects to CPB366 Blair sub.
