Double stack containers weren't a thing back then. They didn't come into existence until the mid 80's.

I must be part dope, part senile codger. Been hanging around the tracks since the early 1970s, and I guess it's all starting to run together. SCL in Charleston was full of IM by the late '70s, and - of course - none of it was dbl stk either. Egg on face.
