I went to bed last night and before sleep said a prayer for Tony. I know that I was looking for a miracle and hoping for more dinners at Vito's with my friend Tony. But I know that his suffering is over and he is now at peace with a new life in heaven.
Rest in Peace Tony and I will always remember our first meeting 10 years ago at St. Michael's as you checked SD80MAC builder's plates...crutches never stopped you!
Keep watch over us when we return to your home on the West Slope.

Although I never met Tony in person, from his photos and posts in many different forums and albums I feel I really did. He truly was THE West Slope!

Thanks for sharing, Dan. Smurf was a great guy and will be missed by many. His legacy will live forever through the stories of good times spent trackside with friends and quality photographs he produced.
