Whaddaya mean?! I can see it! If you want to talk about trains "heard" but NOT "seen," you should have been with a friend and I back in the '90s looking down on Starrucca Viaduct on a foggy morning when from where we stood it was like being inside a frosted light bulb. We heard, but most definitely did not see - a stack train roll over the bridge. Once the fog burned off, of course, Conrail and its tenants ran nothing over the bridge for the rest of the day.

Glad you got back, different look than the other one. Close call with the fog, I always say be careful what you wish for. Looked at your others, great light.

Very nice Bruce. Nothing more fun than shooting in the fog.

No words for this but awesome shot.

This is just terrific. Who says you only have scenery out west? My new favorite from this location.

Wonderful photograph, Bruce!

Fantastic, all around!

Spectacular, Bruce! Love the atmospherics in this.

Outstanding! The nexus of opportunity and skill. A spectacular often unseen scene from New York!

There is no word for description , excellent natures view & fantastic photography. Thanks Bruce.

Speechless!

What a beauty Bruce. I can imagine your heart rate as you heard the train approaching and the clouds seemingly snuffing out a good photo opportunity but as so many times, the end result actually created a much better memorable shot. Great job hanging out on the cliffs.

Awesome shot! I ran trains up and down through that fog on the Riverline many a night. Some of the prettiest scenery in the East, from Stony Point to Highland.
