Great look back. I was lucky enough to shoot some of the ATSF branches around Salina in the '80s, but the Fs were long gone by then. Hope we see more of these.

Thanks for sharing your pic of a Santa Fe Bluebonnet!! I have always enjoyed this color combination and have two such F7 Bluebonnets on my ATSF layout. I believe that most of these originated out of Argentine Yard.

This paint scheme reminds me VERY much of that which the Delaware & Hudson applied their former Santa Fe Alco PAs. Curious to know WHICH occurred first, and raises the thought WHAT IF D&H had had f-units ?
