The Narragansett Pier RR was a neat little shortline that operated between a connection with the New Haven's "Shoreline" at Kingston, RI and ran southward to the small town of Narragansett Pier, on the west side of Narragansett Bay. This photo looks much like the "other NP's" trains would have looked with this loco and a combine. I BELIEVE a couple of NP's Stations still exist as residences, and possibly a short section of track adjacent to the Kingston Amtrak Station, IF that wasn't removed in the recent station upgrading.

Exceptional! Great choice to shoot her on "the dark side". One of the best from Everett to date. Nice job on that impressive and very difficult to expose plume, as well!

Thanks guys, for your comments! It was a great day to be out, listening to a steam whistle echoing through the Juniata Valley. No. 11 is a jewel of an engine.
