I've never heard of a wide cab. I wonder why NS is replacing these 'comfort cabs'?

Comfort and wide cab are terms that can be used interchangeably, although wide cab has become more common. As for the replacement, not only are these cabs rotted badly, they are also equipped with desktop controls, and NS has always preferred a traditional control stand arrangement.
