That must be a southbound train and not northbound. The ocean is on the wrong side for a northbound.

Very much a northbound. Train being led by a cab car. Note, the locomotive headlights are off.

Having been there in person instead of making blind assumptions, I can assure you that this is a northbound since trains do run both directions out there with the locomotive always facing south.
