A Great scene! I always enjoy seeing patched Conrail locomotives.

It IS interesting to see how the "CR patch" was applied on various units. SOME were done very carefully and precisely using matching paint ( as we see on 6572) and others were done in a "slap, dash, git 'er done" manner. I have always liked to think that the ones that were well done were done by a units "home shop", while the sloppy, ugly, "quickie" conversions were done by a Penn Central shop as they tend to almost all be done in black & white.
